      It’s a convenient, personalized patient care service, wherever you are. Meet with one of our board-certified providers over the phone or through secure video chat on your computer, smartphone or tablet. Talk with them about your symptoms, and they can diagnose and treat multiple medical concerns you’re dealing with. They can also prescribe medication or lab work as needed.

  • Can my children use UT Health RGV Telemedicine? Are parents allowed to join?

      Yes, they can! Patients of all ages can use UT Health RGV Telemedicine, but parents/guardians need to start the process. Make sure your child is present for the visit so the provider can perform a medical evaluation.

  • Will I be able to get medications called in through UT Health RGV Telemedicine?

      Yes – after diagnosing your concern and coming up with a treatment plan, your health care provider can call in a prescription to your local pharmacy while following state laws and what’s medically appropriate for the patient.

  • What is the cost of a virtual visit? Are there additional fees for a virtual care visit?

      As with any appointment, the telehealth appointments will be billed to your insurance provider. The cost will vary based on the type of visit. Please check with your insurance to determine your coverage for telehealth visits. If you are uninsured you will be able to speak with a financial counselor for other payment options.
